Medications and weight gain

Has anyone else out there struggled with weight gain when taking medication for their Bipolar Disorder?

My husband gained close to 70 lbs. No one told us that weight gain was a side affect of these medications.

Weight loss has also been typical of his manic states.

Never ask a question if you can’t handle the answer…

I warned him AGAIN about my plans to go to an attorney and asked him if he was going to give me a hard time about money or custody of our son. He said no. I asked him if there was anything he wanted in the divorce. Again, he said no. I asked him if he wanted to have our son during summers. Again, the answer was no.

His answer confirmed his lack of desire to be a parent and it was painful to hear.

I watched some cheesy Michelle Pieffer movie about a man who can’t seem to overcome the premature death of his wife. He avoids going to the cemetery because to see her grave would mean she was really dead, and it occurred to me that avoiding going to a lawyer doesn’t make my marriage any more alive.

Got a letter from the IRS. The $1500 we were due as a rebate has officially been taken because of HIS tax debt. It just totally pisses me off. Will I forever be penalized because he decided to be a dumb ass and cheat on his taxes?

I took the kidlette camping this weekend. It was our first official vacation — just the two of us. We had good time but something surprising happened — I miss my estranged husband. He loved camping and is actually so much better at starting fires than I am.

He’s still looking for a job. He told me yesterday he’s considering applying at a local company where he used to work that I will call First Windmill. He said they pay fairly well. I found this information interesting because the reason he quit was because it didn’t pay enough. He also gave less than 24 hours notice. Sometimes he’s a little fuzzy on his history. I doubt their HR Manager will be as fuzzy.

I have a counseling appointment today and I’m too exhausted to go. I have to, though, cuz if i cancel with less than 24 hours notice I have to pay for the whole session with cash (which is like $125).
